Edit your data

After uploading your dataset you can find it in your ‘My Data’ section. After opening the dataset an Excel-like table will appear. You can easily edit this data by double clicking inside a cell. A small pop-up window will appear where you can add or edit your data.
You can also add columns or rows in this workspace. There are 2 methods for adding columns and rows.
The first method to add a row can be found by hovering over a row. When this is done, a dropdown menu button shows itself in the front of the row.
When clicked, it gives you the possibility to delete a row or add a row.
You can add a column by clicking on the small caret next to the column name. This shows a small pop-up window where you can add and delete columns.
The second method is located in the right lower corner. Here are 2 buttons which facilitate add a row or a column.
After adding a new column, the mapbuilder will automatically select the column name area. Here you can give your new column a new name. The data type is automatically set to ‘String’. This type is mostly used for texts.
Did you know…
The Mapbuilder automatically orders your columns by name. So after renaming, the newly created column can switch position.
