Styling map features separately


After having created a map from your data, you can adjust its style by using the extensive range of styling options that come with the Spotzi Mapbuilder. In this article we will demonstrate how to style your map features straight from the map view.

Styling a point


In this example we will use a map that contains a point, line and polygon layer. We will start off with styling a point straight from the map. Click the point and click the EDIT STYLING button.

Now the styling console of your feature will appear on the left side. Here you can adjust the following styling:

  • Marker Fill: Size, Color and Opacity (0-1)
  • Marker Outline: Size, Color, Opacity (0-1)

Choose a styling and press the APPLY button to apply your styling.

Great! You have successfully styled your point.

Add a custom map marker.

Styling a line


To style your line feature click the line and click the EDIT STYLING button.

Now the styling console of your line will appear on the left side. Here you can add the following styling:

  • Line: Width, Color, Opacity (0-1)

Choose a styling and press the APPLY button to apply your styling.

Styling a polygon


To style your polygon click the polygon and click the EDIT STYLING button.

Now the styling console of your polygon will appear on the left side. Here you can add the following styling:

  • Polygon fill: Color, Opacity (0-1)
  • Polygon line: Width, Color, Opacity (0-1)

Chose a styling and press the APPLY button to apply your styling.

Add a custom polygon fill pattern/image.

Keep in mind!

If you edited the styling of your features separately and create a categorized styling afterwards, the previous styling will be overwritten. Create a new map from your data if you do not want to affect your current styling.
