It is available at street and 4-digit postal code level. What is included?

Spotzi's Disposable Income offers a detailed overview of the socio-economic profiles of a population and is included in our Mapping plan. The data is updated on a yearly basis.

Our Disposable Income of Switzerland includes the following variables (by 4-digit postal code or street segment):

  • The total number of inhabitants
  • The total number of households
  • The total disposable income
  • The average disposable income per inhabitant
  • The average disposable income per household

All data is also calculated as a percentage and as an index. An index 100 represents the average disposable income, average number of households or average number of inhabitants in Switzerland. Switzerland currently has 3,182 postal codes (4-digit).

How to use Disposable Income?

Disposable income is also known as purchasing power. Purchasing power simply is the amount of money a person has left to buy products. It is a good indicator of the economic wealth of certain areas. Having access to this data greatly improves strategic decisions you make. The Purchasing Power data highlights regions where high numbers of potential buyers live.
