A section contains multiple blocks and is listed as a tab in order to streamline dashboard navigation.

Adding Dashboard Blocks

Creating dashboard blocks in Spotzi is a unique and straightforward way to analyze locations. Once you have mapped areas or points, adding blocks of data directly enhances your insights. By adding, removing, or rearranging these blocks, you can quickly build your own dashboard in a few steps.

To add blocks to your dashboard, use the top bar. There are two ways to add blocks:

Spotzi Data Blocks

Spotzi data blocks are key to profiling your customers and locations. Based on your imported locations, you can gain insights into characteristics such as demographics and consumer behavior using charts and tables.

Profiling Locations by Adding Data Blocks

To add these blocks, follow these steps:

  2. Next, select the country, aggregation level, and the data you want to visualize.
  3. You can choose one or more datasets.
  4. Then, click on ADD GRAPHS. If you have a dashboard with multiple sections, select the section first and click ADD.

Other dashboard functionalities

In a geographical dashboard, information buttons and a search bar enhance user-friendliness. Information buttons provide targeted context about specific data, while the search bar offers quick access to relevant locations. These features improve efficiency and assist users in gaining valuable insights.

Info buttons

  1. Additional information regarding a study or dataset can be accessed using the (i) icon on each dashboard's data block. Just click this icon (found in the top right corner) to read about sources, data collection dates, and more.
  2. Click the small (i) in the top right corner to access more information about each data block.
Search Bar
  1. Use the search bar in the top left corner of your dashboard to easily navigate across your map. Search for any location (an address, city, postal code, province, etc.) and press ENTER, or click the small magnifying glass icon to the right of the search bar.
  2. The system will search its location database and offer a small dropdown of suggestions based on your search input. Select your desired location to be transported to this area on the map.
  3. The dashboard will automatically navigate you to the location of your choice.

Map layers menu

Map Layer Menu

Each dashboard also includes a map layers menu, allowing you to easily toggle map layers on and off. Additionally, you can see, among other things, based on which layer the insights are displayed. This is the map layer that has a small graph icon next to it.

The search bar is not a filter option
Please note that the search bar is only used for zooming and panning across your map. It will not add a filter to your data.
